Huawei P30 Pro Gets May 2020 Security Patch in India: Check the Changelog
Huawei P30 Pro is receiving a security update for May 2020 in India. The Chinese smartphone maker has started pushing out the update in the country in the type of a staged OTA release. Huawei P30 Pro is the last flagship smartphone launched by the corporate in India. The Chinese smartphone didn’t launch the Mate 30 series in India but is predicted to launch the P40 series soon. Huawei has also shifted the P30 Pro to a quarterly update cycle as against monthly roll out offered for newer models.

We got the update on our review unit and it’s a 135MB download. In the past, Huawei has pushed a number of latest features alongside security updates. However, this time, we are only getting a security patch and hence the download package is smaller. Huawei notes that this update will not erase your personal data but it recommends users to copy any important data before updating to the new firmware. The new update brings the firmware to version 10.0.0.210(C675E4R1P4) and updates the Android security patch level to May 1, 2020.
The update brings fixes to numerous issues that are categorized as Critical, High, Medium, and Low. It patches vulnerabilities CVE-2020-0096, CVE-2020-0103 that are classified as critical. These vulnerabilities are associated with frameworks and systems that would enable a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process employing a specially crafted file or transmission. Additionally, to these vulnerabilities, there are also fixes categorized as medium and high belonging to the framework, media framework, or the system.
To download Huawei P30 Pro EMUI 10.0.0.210 update, Firstly you need to check you received a notification yet or not, check for the OTA update in Settings manually, just click on the > Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates > Download and install.
Alternatively, You can also update using the Support app. Open the support app, go to Support app> Services>Update> Check for Updates> Download & Install. (Get the latest version of the app).
Despite the continuing battle with the United States government, Huawei has managed to release security updates. The newly released Realme 6 Pro update comes with the software build version RMX2061_11_A.25. It’s about 630MB in size. The OTA update is rolling out in a phase-wise manner, so it will take a short time before reaching all units gradually. Users will get a notification to download the update. Otherwise, you can also check manually for the update in the Settings section and then in the Software Update menu.
As per the changelog, the update brings the new Realme Link app feature to the smartphone. The patch note also details fixing some known bug issues and further improving the system stability. As per the Android bulletin website, the security patch fixes a bunch of security vulnerabilities within the device. One of the flaws could have bypassed the user interaction requirements to achieve access to additional permissions. It also fixes an arbitrary code within the context of Kernel components.

To recall, the Realme 6 Pro smartphone was launched with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen. It comes with full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Honor 9N Update Rolling Out with June 2020 Security Patch
Huawei sub-brand, Honor, has started rolling out the latest software update for its Honor 9N users globally. The new update brings the June 2020 Android security patch to the device alongside several security bug fixes for known issues. The corporate recently released the same update for the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 also.
The Honor 9N June 2020 Android security update carries the software Build version EMUI 126.96.36.199 (C675E2R1P9), and its OTA firmware size is about 197 MB. However, the build version and size may vary counting on the region. The new software update still runs the previous Android 9 Pie OS-based on the company’s EMUI 9.1 custom skin.
As per the changelog, the June 2020 security update primarily fixes a bunch of vulnerabilities on the device. Honor patch notes additionally mention fixes for 2 critical and 12 high levels of CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) found in the recent build. Realme 3 Pro Gets June 2020 Security Patch with many added features
Realme is rolling out a brand new software update for the Realme 3 Pro device in India. The update brings the newest June 2020 Android security patch, alongside some newly added features, optimizations, and other system improvements. The corporate recently pushed out an equivalent update for the Realme 3 and 3i smartphones also.
The latest update for the Realme 3 Pro smartphone bumps up the software version to RMX1851_11_C.06 with an update size of 461 MB. As per the changelog, the new update adds the Realme Link App, and Realme PaySa features to the device. It also added a battery charging animation on the lock screen while charging.
Realme has also modified the default state of power-saving mode auto-off switch and made some partial changes with the screen brightness reduction switch in power-saving mode. The update comes with optimizations on the transparency of the slide back gesture style and screen recording icon size.
