Xiaomi 100w charging support

In recent years, Xiaomi has truly improved several aspects of its smartphones. The company has specifically raised the bar in terms of its cameras and fast charge capability. Speaking about the latter, it’s Oppo who presently leads the market with its 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 technology.

But, a short time ago, Xiaomi confirmed that it had been developing a 100W fast charge technology. Now, it’s like this technology could hit the market this year, and it might get on a Black Shark flagship phone. These impressive numbers of fast charging power, which once seemed unthinkable, are getting closer and closer.

Lenovo has also claimed that its first Lenovo Legion Phone will feature 90W fast charging. This means that the era of 100W fast charging is simply around the corner. As per the information recently leaked via Weibo, the upcoming Black Shark flagship phone will break the 100W charging barrier.

Over the past year, Xiaomi and Vivo showcased their own ultra-powerful fast-charging solutions. Xiaomi showed a 100W technology, while Vivo boasted of reaching up to 120W. Earlier this year, Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China, said that the 100W fast charging technology remains in its early stages. But, he also acknowledged that the expected production and commercial use of 100W fast charging technology could start soon.

Although fast 100W charging will soon become mainstream in the near future, Lu Weibing says there are some technical difficulties that have got to be faced. For instance, the matter of protection for batteries, chargers, and motherboards. Moreover, the optimal capacity of the smartphone’s battery cycle, which may be decreased in long-term usage.

It is worth noting that in 2019, Lin Bin, vice chairman of Xiaomi Group, gave a technical demonstration of the brand’s 100W fast charge. With the aforementioned technology, it could fully charge a 4,000mAh battery capacity phone in barely 17 minutes. This is only based on the early stages of initial testing. When the technology finally goes into production, the speed might be even faster. At the instant, it’s unknown if this expected technology becomes a reality this year.

Samsung Galaxy M41 spotted online with massive 6,800mAh battery

A few weeks ago, we heard reports that Samsung will ditch the Galaxy M41 entirely out of its M-series in favor of the upcoming Galaxy M51. However, this information might not be valid anymore. This is because the latest certification has surfaced online and it points on to the Samsung Galaxy M41.

As per a report by GSMarena, the Samsung Galaxy M41 3C certification had been cleared last week on June 28. If we pass the certification, which may be a very reliable indicator that the phone remains alive, we also spot some specifications of the upcoming M-series phone. This includes a huge 6,800mAh battery powering the phone. That’s 800mAh larger than even Samsung’s recent M series phones.

The 6,800mAh battery is really like the batteries employed in larger tablets. Considering this is an M-series device, the Samsung Galaxy M41 might be priced at around Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 in India. Hence, it’ll remain as of now, the only phone with such an outsized battery within the segment. There is also an image of the massive battery on the safety Korea website.

The information points to the very fact that Samsung may have found how to resolve its OLED panel supply issue. We heard Samsung was about to implement an OLED panel that was made by a third-party company on the M41. This might have contrasted other Samsung phones that use OLED panels made by the corporate itself. This third party was believed to be TCL’s China Star Optoelectronics Technology. However, in later development, Samsung had apparently canceled the plan and ditched the Galaxy M41 altogether.

In other news, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra just leaked on Online. The accidental leak showcases what appears to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in its full glory. This includes the new copper color, the rear camera setup, and a few elements regarding the design

Realme 6i

Chinese smartphone brand Realme is slowly starting to develop a confusing lineup of devices almost like rival brand Xiaomi. We are soon commencing to see plenty of Realme devices being launched with a specific name in one country and the name then being switched to another by the time the phone launches elsewhere. Reportedly, this may even be the case with the upcoming Realme 6i.

The Realme 6i isn’t a single device. The initial Realme 6i was launched in India as the Realme Narzo 10. This was likely because the brand didn’t want to adopt a budget phone into the mid-range ‘6’ series in the country. Now, however, Realme is launching a Realme 6i in the country, and as per a report by OnPhones via GizmoChina, this may actually be a rebadged Realme 6s, that launched in Europe in May 2020.

Realme 6i leaked specifications

An image of a poster for the upcoming Realme phone also surfaced in the blog. The poster in the picture shows a smartphone with a few specifications revealed. This includes a MediaTek Helio G90T processor, a 90Hz ultra-smooth display, and a 48-megapixel quad-camera setup. The image also depicts that the Realme smartphone will also be available in black and white color variants. Moreover, it’ll feature a single punch-hole cutout on the top-left of the display.

As per the source, the Realme 6i is going to be available in barely one configuration which is 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It had been also revealed that the smartphone could launch next week in the country.

Realme has quite a few variants to settle on from now in its budget to upper-mid-range segments. While the Narzo series represent the upper-budget segment, the Realme 6 series are proper mid-range devices. We expect the new Realme 6i to be positioned below the Realme 6, which after a recent hike now costs Rs 14,000.
